Data Catalog Description
I had the opportunity to participate in the data governance implementation at Scania. The first thing that happened was an assessment of Scania's data governance level. After that, it was decided to start with the data catalog from the DAMA-DMBOOK
My participation involves developing some features for an internal data catalog tool. This software is a .Net Core API with an Angular front end that helps anyone in the company find where the data is and who the owner is.
I also took part in testing some data governance tools from marketing. With a focus on Informatica tools, where I had the opportunity to help install them at Scania.
